We have grown from our dedication to reducing the impact of trauma, anxiety and attachment difficulties on everyday life.
Shortland Psychology was founded as a result of a 15 year commitment to building expertise in trauma therapies, assessments and interventions.
Our Practice was founded by Dr Andrea Shortland, who is a highly accomplished therapist who uses a range of therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Attachment Therapies, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and solution focused approaches.
As a Chartered Psychologist, registered as a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist, Dr Shortland has extensive experience with organisations such as: the NHS, Social Services, the Prison Service, the Priory, the Centre of Dissociative Studies, and Assist Trauma Care.
Shortland Psychology is a growing Practice and we have a number of specialist Associates working alongside Andrea. To meet our experts please visit Our Team.
We partner regularly with professional teams in the South East ( including London), and Northern Ireland to provide therapeutic assessments, expert court witness services, consultancy and training. To learn more about partnerships please visit Professionals.
We also invite adults, children, teenagers and families looking for guidance through trauma, anxiety or attachment difficulties to arrange to visit our Practice in South East England.
